Jennifer Hector, MA, LMFT

Professional Background

Jennifer Hector is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) licensed in both Wisconsin and California.

Jennifer graduated from John F. Kennedy University in the San Francisco Bay Area with her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2008.

Jennifer has over 15 years of experience working with children ages 2 -17 in public schools, private agencies, outpatient programs and home environments providing psychotherapy and behavioral support.

Additional Training

Jennifer holds specialized training in working with sensory processing disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, parent-child attachment, early childhood mental health, trauma resolution and mindfulness practices. She holds 150 hrs. of training in Play Therapy and will be credentialed through The Association for Play Therapy as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) Summer of 2019.

Jennifer has completed additional training in Yogapeutics, an aerial yoga-based program for working with kids with sensory processing disorders. In addition to aerial yoga for kids, Jennifer has completed 300+ hours of yoga teacher training and has studied mindfulness practices for 30 years.

Outside of Work

Jennifer can be found enjoying gardening in her backyard, hiking with friends, frequenting farmers markets, biking, doing yoga, cooking delicious creations with her husband and playing with her fluffy maltipoo and tuxedo kitty.
