Couples Counseling

In couples counseling, the counselor focuses on the relationship: the ways the two of you communicate; how your families-of-origin contribute strengths as well as problems to your relationship; issues of intimacy, finances, decision-making; and conflict management.

If you are interested in couples counseling, make sure the therapist you want to work with specializes in this type of therapy.

The Samaritan Center offers counseling to couples who are involved in committed relationships.

Many individuals that come in for individual counseling want to incorporate a partner into that part of their counseling process. That is something that can be discussed and is determined by conversations you would have with your therapist here. If you are truly coming in for just Couples Counseling and not doing Individual Counseling, then we typically cannot bill your insurance for Individual Counseling and may need to discuss out of pocket options. You can discuss this more with our intake coordinator when you call us to schedule an appointment.
