Powell, Founder of the Othering and Belonging Institute, “a four part definition of belonging rooted in Inclusion, Recognition or Visibility, a Sense of Connection, and Empowerment”.

Greg Kaldor

Greg has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Samaritan Counseling Center of Southern Wisconsin since 2018. Greg is passionate about mental health and wellness and is motivated by helping to make a meaningful difference for those seeking compassionate and professional counseling services. As a business leader in Madison over the past 35 years, Greg currently works as a consultant for IBM Global Deals, helping clients around the world transform their business through sound strategy and experience-led design, reinforcing that the best technology is ultimately used by human beings. It’s that human-centered approach that attracted him to the Samaritan board, recognizing that our mission is centered around caring for the mind, body, spirit and community. Greg and his wife Jane are both proud Badgers, have four children, and have just entered the amazing world of empty-nesting, allowing more time to helping the Center continue to grow.

Sharon Mason-Boersma

Sharon has been a dedicated member of the Board of Directors for the Samaritan Counseling Center of Southern Wisconsin since 2017. With over 25 years of experience in social work, primarily in Children, Youth, and Family Services for Kenosha and Dane Counties, she has spent her career helping families access vital resources and support. She currently works part-time with the Stoughton Resettlement Assistance Program, serving legal immigrants from Ukraine and Venezuela. In addition to Samaritan, she serves on several nonprofit boards that she believes “can make a positive difference” to those served. “I believe strongly in Samaritan’s mission, supportive and caring trained staff, and the valuable services it provides for those in need of mental health care.” During her time on the board, she has proudly witnessed the Center grow in staff and services to better meet community needs.
