
Matthew Rozzi, Ph.D, LP
Professional Background
Matthew Rozzi is a Licensed Psychologist (LP). Matthew has an undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. He has experience working in outpatient mental health clinics, university counseling centers, and within various interprofessional settings as a psychologist.Before becoming a psychologist, Matthew worked as a mental health caseworker where he supported folks with severe and persistent mental illness.
Additional Training
Matthew has completed coursework and training in substance abuse treatment, working with diverse individuals, spiritually integrated care, Gottman therapy, mindfulness training, and LGBTQ+ allyship. Matthew enjoys individual counseling as well as group work. Matthew completed his post-doctoral training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he had a focus area in group counseling. These experiences help Matthew consider the whole person including mental, social, environmental, physical, and spiritual care. Matthew often encourages individuals to challenge themselves to care for neglected aspects of their lives by making healthy choices related to food, sleep, exercise, and social/spiritual connection. Matthew strongly believes that gaining awareness of one’s self and one’s environment is the first step toward healthy change.
